Japan
An archipelago of five main islands lying across the Sea of Japan on the east coast of mainland Asia is the astonishing country of Japan. Although small in landmass this country has brought a great many things to the world, from sushi to geisha, plasma TV's and karaoke to Samurai, and a visit to this country will reveal experiences that are just as diverse. It's a stark vision into the future of technology, a profound experience of ancient customs, a giddy ride among towering glass buildings and throngs of the young and tech savvie and tranquil moments enjoyed while gazing upon a rural landscape. There are beaches and reefs, snow clad alpine peaks, bullet trains and buddhist temples, and inhabiting this remarkable country is a people who's friendliness and generosity of spirit will have you planning your next visit before you even leave.
Tokyo
Tokyo is the capital of Japan. At over 12 million people in the official metropolitan area alone, Tokyo is the core of the most populated urban area in the world. This huge, wealthy and fascinating metropolis brings high-tech visions of the future side by side with glimpses of old Japan, and has something for everyone.
Kobe
Kobe is one of Japans underappreciated cities. A cosmopolitan port city with an international flavour, hemmed in by Mt. Rokko, it constantly comes up number one in expatriate rankings of the best place to live in Japan. Perched on a hillside overlooking the sea, Kōbe is considered one of Japan’s most attractive cities. It’s also one of the country’s most cosmopolitan, having served as a maritime gateway to Kansai from the earliest days of trade with China. To this day, there are significant populations of other Asian nationalities in Kōbe, as well as plenty of Westerners, many of whom work in nearby Osaka.
